Originally distributed as webisodes, the thing actually plays as a whole pretty well, it's just too bad the script is unoriginal and unfunny, the acting is awful, the direction is lazy, and it seemed as though NO ONE cared to be involved with this project, so it must have paid pretty well.
I'm a sometimes Heder-defender, I don't think the kid is all terrible everywhere, but here he's downright deplorable, and he brings the usually funny Josh Gad and Krysten Ritter down with him. They're given nothing funny to play off of, and anything they feed Heder gets swallowed like Pinnochio, never to be seen again. And I love Krysten Ritter, and Josh Gad makes me laugh often.
Here, everything is terrible. Cheap, poorly conceived, poor executed by people who didn't seem to care to be there in the first place. That's Hollywood for ya.
